At snack time each child is entitled to one third of a pint of cows milk. If a child does not want milk, water is also available. Alternatives would be made for any children with allergies. Children are encouraged to eat a selection of fruit and a plain biscuit. We ask that parents bring in a contribution to the groups snack on a weekly or daily basis. (Items such as fruit, cheese, plain crackers, bread sticks, rice cakes and raisins) We see snack time as a social time where children and adults sit together, this also gives us the opportunity for a small or large group discussion. Children are encouraged to select their snack independently, sit at the table and clear away after themselves.
