Once we had arrived at camp, Sarah told the story of stone soup, all the children got to add vegetables to the cooking pot and Claire even got to add some stinging nettles to the pot!! The children then chose which activity they would like to have a go at and remained focussed and busy The teddy catapult was a firm favourite and we will try and set one of these up in the playground. We then went on a listening moment, this involved the children lying down in a space in the woods and keeping quiet and just listening. This was a very relaxing activity and the children were really good. It was really nice to have some parents, grandparents and siblings join us for the last hour. The children then cooked sticky bread over the fire and ate the delicious soup. Sadly it was soon time to leave camp and return to school.
Huge thank you to Sarah for all her hard work and effort that she put into every session. And many thanks to Katie for being such a great helper.
