Sports day was eagerly anticipated this year and thank goodness the weather was kind to us today. The children were fabulous sports and took part with great enjoyment and excitement. We were also very impressed with the way they cheered on their friends. Thanks to all the parents and grandparents who turned up to cheer the children on.
An amazing morning on Coverack beach. The photo's speak for themselves. Think this is now an annual event!! Just a fantastic morning with brilliant children and fabulous parents and staff. Huge thanks to Sarah Henn for being there with us.
Today Sue Bray came to visit with her guide dog Nikki. Sue gave a short talk, describing to the children what Nikki's work entails and a little bit about the training she went through. Sue then removed the harness and the children were allowed to fuss Nikki. We were so impressed with the children's listening skills, manners and relevant questions. Well done.
Today all of the older children went to big school for the day. This left us with only six children, so a walk to Roskillys seemed like the only plan!! The children were so well behaved and interested in everything. The only problem we had was when the goat escaped and Alice and Claire had to get it back in the field!! (Who knew goats were so stubborn) The children were joined for a little while by Claire's dog Harvey, who thought it was great fun. We then had to have ice creams and a play on the tractor. Great way to spend a morning with the children learning about their local community and environment!!
